Silk is an amazing website that allows you took create stunningly beautiful graphics that you can share with your friends afterward. Basically, it is meant to simulate the ways that the clothing material "silk" can be used to create beautiful tapestries and clothing. The flowing and smooth ways in which the threads interlink are soothing and a complete joy to use.
There are six colors of silk threads that you can use to create your graphic design; a smoky looking gray, a soft pink, a mellowing yellow, a bright red, a lime green, and a cool blue. There seems to be a graphic engine that the sites developers have worked into their site that allow you to mirror your movements symmetrically as you work to create a graphic. You can use vertical symmetry, four-way symmetry, or no symmetry at all and design exactly as you see fit.
Here's an example of what I made as I toyed with it: http://new.weavesilk.com/?umc3
